Verizon FIOS sucks
Well I was talking to my brother back East and he told me the following, upon completion of the FIOS installations in his neighborhood, there was numerous power outages and cable outages, caused by Verizon sub-contractors. After the completion of said, fiber, there was leftover potholes in the roads, dead grass on the lawns, and broken sprinkler lines. Well it gets funnier, he decided to upgrade his system from Comcast to Verizon FIOS, the day came to install the service (which takes a couple of days, including more trenching and fiber runs to your house) and the tech installing the services pulls a Direct TV Dish off his truck, my brother is like what is that for. The tech told him Verizon DOES NOT have active TV working in your area and until they do you will have to use Direct TV to get a TV feed. Well he told the tech to take his crap and leave. He was never told by Verizon that they are installing dishes, because area's of their footprint have no video feeds. Good job Verizon. Jumping out there before your technology is fully developed.
