The self-confidence of those who assumed Susan Decker would succeed Mr. Semel was obvious.
Without evaluating the specific circumstances of Yahoo or Ms. Decker, I wonder how people with dissemination of their writings can be near-unanimous about a prediction.
Is this people reassuring each other? Following the lead of respected experts? Sympathetic wishful thinking?
