Not enough

Apple is adding some nifty new things, but it all feels a little short shrift on what they need to do to convert people. It's not enough to make things a little prettier or a little more user friendly.

Apple needs to somehow get rid of the reputation of their OS as a fascist control-monger you can't configure effectively on a low level. How do they do that? Well, it's not by releasing dev details to only the people who show up at WWDC. I guess that's how they kep viruses down by just crushing their ability to have a widespread development base.
