Aside from Apple?
Aside from Apple? What more do you need? Lineups around the block and sales
per square foot that are 3X Tiffany's.

Dell would presume to be the working man's Apple store. They might look at this
option and understand exactly why they'd fail. They have always been second rate
carnival barkers. Is it any surprise that unemployed geeks from the corner
computer store are manning the Dell mall kiosks now. As they hock their
ridiculous XPS's next to the other trinkets, bobbles and pokemon prints, they've
found their true home amongst the other kiosk fare.

The most sophisticated instrument you can buy for yourself has been
marginalized into a $3k popcorn prize. They have no one to blame but
themselves.

To have a store, you need a product. Increasingly Dell is nothing more than a
plastic bag to hold Chinese motherboards. Today's Linux announcement further
disrupts the myth of "Dell as technologist". It had never been their place to do
anything but "recommend" Windows. This new vain little reach for some
independence is the last attempts to equate their past monetary success to
technological prowess. Balance sheet will never equal brains, they should have
known better then and now.
