You forget 5.5 SP2
IE removed support for Netscape plugins and disabled Quicktime, Flash, Realplayer,
etc, etc. They did this without warning, and later said it was for security reasons. We
all know that ActiveX is way less secure and does not work on all platforms like
Netscape Plugins do. And the did this by removing a register entry, all the code and
the plugin.ocx still exist today on your favorite flavor of their OS.

WHY?
