Great for big enterprises, but hardly "social"
Like the rest of the big hitters you mention, this will be great for the IT departments in huge enterprises looking to silence the evangelists of social software but still retain control over everything (from the description on the web site, for example, the only "social" element of Pathways seems to be the ability to tag and bookmark a page that has already been indexed and auto-tagged by IT - hardly social bookmarking).

For companies lucky enough not to have big IT departments, and those who just want to experiment, I think other bottom-up solutions remain the better option for some time to come.
