I too applied for Suns Startup Essentials Program
And didn't hear from Sun for at least three weeks. I have historically been a advocate of Sun hardware and software. I decided that a T1000 would be a nice replacement for the Ultra2 server. Unfortunately by the time Sun had called regarding my application I had already purchase another vendors x86 solution. Sun, if you're listening, this is why you're losing to x86 and Linux.
