Maybe he left something out?
Jobs and Wozniak did some amazing, inspiring things. I have a particular affinity for Wozniak. I've listened to the story of the technological lessons he learned that ultimately led to the creation of the first Apple computer. It's amazing.

However, when it comes to the Mac, it sounds like some of the story is left out. I'm referring of course to the work that was done at Xerox PARC. Yes, John Warnok is interviewed, who was part of that, but there's so much more. As Jobs will readily admit, the Mac, and the Lisa for that matter, were not original ideas that just came out of his, or even Jef Raskin's head. They were deeply inspired by the work that was done by Alan Kay, Adele Goldberg, Dan Ingals and others at PARC around the Dynabook concept that Kay created in 1972--more than 10 years before the Mac, and 2 years before the Altair.

Had this work never been done, we would still be using command line interfaces to run programs, though we would still probably be running graphical web browsers by now, and I suspect the experience would not be as nice.
