The article today about Exchange included a prediction that Microsoft would increase revenues at the expense of Notes. Presumably (my guess) because IBM was not investing to keep up with the features Microsoft will be providing.
This article notes a software market from which IBM is keeping its distance.
IBM has been careful not to take responsibility for the open source software the company exploits.
