I will be amoung the people who disagree with Ross Mayfield on the specifics of the badgeware provision but he is ABSOLUTELY to be commended for getting it out in the open, and having a real, official review of it to OSD. I'm a peon, but you have my respect!

The fact many of these companies showed up to the game, disregarded the rules, and called foul when people pointed them to the only (while not perfect) process of license approval shows disrespect for the those that played the game before them. Redhat/JBoss/MySQL/... played by the rules and earned the right for the term "open source" to get a place in corporate data centers.
