What's with the double standard?
If Windows had half as good a track record as Java or Oracle
they'd have something to brag about.

In both cases the flaws were fixed before anyone even knew they
were there. Microsoft has known, unpatched flaws with actual
exploit code in the wild on a routine basis.

I would compare Java security to Alcatraz. Alcatraz earned the
title of "escape-proof" despite the fact that there were some 36
breakout attempts. In 29 years, only two inmates actually made
it off the island, and they were caught and sent back. The rest
were either shot, drowned or recaptured. So, strictly speaking, it
wasn't really escape-proof, but the people in San Francisco
weren't too worried about escaped convicts running through
their neighborhoods. And I'm not too worried about having my
system compromised by a Java program.
