AAP are idiots
Of course it adds value for the publisher and author! It's going
to sell a ton more books. The hardest thing for an author is
being noticed--that's the toughest part of selling books, getting
everyone to know that your particular book exists. And Google
is providing a service that will help overcome this issue.

I work at a publishing firm. We've already signed on with Google
for this service as it will help us move more books and reach
more customers.

If the AAP wins their lawsuit, then Google itself (along with
Yahoo, MSN Search and all other search engines) will be illegal,
as will things like card catalogues in libraries.
