I see MS having the uphill battle
I would seem to me that iTunes already has a huge consumer base, and with profit sharing between the carrier, it would be of greater interest to users, than using an entirely carrier owned music store.
iTunes isn't going anywere soon, and neither are a few other stores. Why whould a person use Verizon's music store?
What would happen if you wanted to change carriers?
Can you use the music purchased on a mobile music player?
All questions people would wonder.
