Xbox chief talks up next generation

Sony got a big head start with IBM, and will have more processors.: Both Sony and Microsoft are working with IBM, but Sony got started a lot sooner. Late in the game, Microsoft decided they would switch from the x86 architecture and went running to IBM. They will not be able to use the cell technology developed by Sony and IBM, they will be using plain Jane Power PC. Yes, they will have a good vidio system, but Sony will have lots more mips and special purpose cores to produce the graphics that XBox does not have. The only good news for Microsoft is that it will take developers a while to take advantage of all that Sony is offering.
