Nintendo was never a competitor
X-Box and PS2 are entirely differnt markets compared to the Nintendo. X-Box and PS-2 target the 15-34 market while Nintendo targets the childerens market 7-15 year old market.

Still being a PS2 owner I wish I had an X-box, just a much better game console in my opinion. Still I can use the PS2 out of the box as DVD player where as I have to pay $50 to get that functionality out of the X-Box. Silly when you think that a DVD player cost $50 at Walmart.
