Xbox chief talks up next generation

XBOX 360

The Xbox 360 will likely feature hardware less powerful than Sony's PS3, however, this maters less than most people realize in that the next gen consoles are going to be insanely powerful, relying more on the developers skill at creating games that ae both cost effective and marketable (not to mention breathtaking in their graphics and physics engines).

Microsoft is taking SOny's approach, that is to say that the PS2, an inferior machine to the Xbox, still won out because it was released earlier and therefore had a bigger base of users and more games than the Xbox. Microsoft is not only launching first, but proviiding a myriad of tools and resources for publishers to use in order to make many good, mrketable games. Then there are the franchises, namely HALO along with other more mysterious titles such as RAREWARE's Perect Dark Zero.

Basically, Microsoft is launching a blitz and their online community from the current Xbox is going to flock to the new hardware.
