Uhh.....
...Not to be rude, but try reading associated material (i.e. the Airscooter's website) before making rash generalizations like that. In the order you brought them up:

1. True, true. However, in this case they're talking about coaxial twin-bladed helicoptors, which Mr. Sikorsky did indeed create the first working model. Also, Sikorsky is credited for making the helicopter practical and successful. (A side note: Sikorsky Aircraft, the fruit of his labor, is the oldest helicoptor firm in the world.)

2. Reading Airscooter's website (it took less then 5 mins), I found that the Airscooter runs on regular gasoline. Furthermore, it runs for 2 hours at a top speed of 63 mph. So doing the math: 63 x 2 = 126 miles to one tank. So that makes it essentially 25.2 miles to the gallon. Taking it a step further: $2.23 (USA gas price avg. as of April 18) x 5 gallons = $11.15 to fill a tank. Hmmm, a 2004 Hummer H1 gets 16 miles to the gallon, so I think I'd hold onto the Airscooter...

Sorry to rant. I just feel that people shouldn't be badmouthing things they don't understand without lifting one finger to do some research first. Hopefully you and anyone else who reads this will leave more enlightened on the subject.
