If it wern't for the HomeDepot center I would've bought a rebel instead
of a Nikon Coolpix 8800. They have a 3" lense limitation and arn't educated on retractable lesnese compacted fixed-lense heavy zoom lenses. I'm happy with my 8800. It would be $2000-$3000 to get a rebel to the same capabilities as my nikon becuase it zooms to 350mm. But I would be able to get a low-light lense without having to pay for another body and would be able to use higher ISOs with much less noise and have a quicker to respond and adpat camera overall.
