Get the Creative Zen instead.
It's more windows-friendly than the I-Pod and can play back a wider variety of sound files. It's 98db signal-to-noise ratio is far superior to I-Pod's 89db snr. I can attach it to any usb 2 compatible PC and use it as a drive (or give all my buddies my tunes or latest mixes of my own recordings). It also costs less. I don't know why HP wouldn't consider branding and coloring a Creative part like the Zen Touch or Micro as Creative makes the EMU and the excellent consumer Audigy series soundcards used in higher-end PC's and Macs... I-Pod does score so well with it's hip factor and available accessories however, and I would be remiss if I didn't say that this factor can be very compelling. My Zen sounds better though, lol.
