There are instances when criminal neglect occurs or blatant "greed" (price gouging etc) occurs and should be severely punished. There is no reason why a company should be allowed to keep one thin dime of profits from proven price gouging and there should be punitive damages awarded also.
That brings me back to the issue at hand with Apple. Investements in a comapny is speculative at best. Now what these idiots need to do is sue their lawyer for misrepresnting there chances to win the lawsuit.
