HUH? You did not take into account some important factors outside of sales
You have to take into account two very large contributing factors to the current stock levels of all dotcoms, the dotcom bust and 911. Had you purchased aapl at the first public offering in 1984 for 26.50 +- and held it till today you would still be doing very well. Better than a passbook or cd savings account.

Let me see here I bought my first Apple stock when I bought my G5 at about $22.00 a share. Closed at or around $43 Apr 8 and quite possibly could have been higher had Apple not split the stock in Feb. Now I know my math is not that good but it would seem to me that just within the period I have owned Apple Stock that is a net gain a few dollars more than 43 cents a share.

For the sake of full disclosure I still own Microsoft. Lost my arse on AOL and a few others. Determining to buy or sell based on what the owner/CEO says or does not say is stoopid anyway.
