Digital. Let's hope the courts smash the DMCA into bits, or at least temper it with our "fair use" right to record. The JVC brand you mentioned is about $1K, it would stink for the hundreds that bought that kind of technology, including the DVR and Tivo. I just invested in a JVC amp, CD player and DVR, all with the digital optical outputs for excellent recording capability. Of course, no matter what the ruling, we will always have some way to record. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I was a criminal for recording something off the history channel......NOT! wink
