I agree, and I think the mini is just a waste. The G4 only sports a 100 megahertz front side bus, which is absolutely pitiful nowadays, especially when you consider all the graphics that will be piped through that little mouse hole. I;d only recommend that to IT dudes that just want to give the Mac a test run. If you plan on buying a Mac as your sole machine, then do it right and plunk down for a G5.
My only bone I'm picking with you is in your complaints about the lack of customization. But the Mac is not about that, but the whole overall experience. But I guess for me, I'm not into the hardware end but the software. Say what you will about the Mac, but I'd suggest trying one out before you thoroughly denounce them. They're quite interesting and fun, aside from their other qualities.
