You argue popularity which I admit the iPod is...my
orriginal post said that the iPod represents a consitant tred in
technology...ie portable and now easily customizable music.
Begining with the protable radie all the way up to todays iPod
this has been a consistant trend and I do not see it ending
anytime soon. Will the iPod become less popular? With it's
current popularity so high one would have to say it is likely? Is
the popularity of the iPod fad like...I wold say yes but unlike
many a fad in the past for instance Pet Rocks and the like the
iPod does have function to go along with it's fad like appeal that
will continue even after the shine has worn off. There is also a
fair chance that Apple will continue to develop/change/add to
the iPod so that the popularity/function off the iPod will
continue.

So I stand by the obvious fact that the iPod is a continuation of a
very long trend that is at this point in time very popular as well.
