Encourage vs. force
"Or perhaps I'm saying MS is using their desktop
monopoly position to encourage developers to support their gaming platform..."

Is it really illegal to "encourage" as opposed to "force"? Is Microsoft preventing developers from developing games for any other console? Is Microsoft forcing developers to use its tools instead of competing tools for XBox development? Is Microsoft threatening developers who don't develop for the XBox or who don't use its tools?

Where exactly is the antitrust violation?
