..Why is that so hard to understand? Do you play video games?..

I never implied making a game fun isn't important, it's kinda why they are called games.
No, pinball is probably the most 'gaming' I do.
I used to play the non video version.

..Game development starts before you even get to coding....

Agreed, but putting said game into bits and bytes is also important.
While I'm not a gamer I am currently invoved in a graphics application leveraging directx and I can tell you that only these latest and greatest dev tools make it possible.
Think outside the [x] box.
