Tablet PC? I haven't heard a peep about that thing in
a while now. Does not seem all that popular too me. At the
same time I keep reading about entire school systems adopting
the iBook for some reason.

Look I will not argue the success of Dell or MS. MS's success
was in large part due to the power and influence of IBM back in
the day. As for Dell it's formular is successful however it can
only work for one company DELL there can be only one in Dell's
case and Dell is it. And now due to Dell's own success the PC is
or will soon be a pure commodity. So Dell's own success will be
it's own undoing..I think.

LongHorn? Well since it is not a factor now, nor will it be in the
near future at least..why don't we just wait and see A: What it
turns out to be? and B: How impressed the market turns out to
be with it..or how NOT impressed as the case may be.
