Apple is Too Self-Centered
MS and partners will cream iPod and Apple?s music store within 4 years. The Tablet PC will cream Apple PCs (further) in the education market within 3 years. Longhorn will obliterate Apple computers within 5 years. Another thing, the Tablet PC will be huge generally within 4 years. All of this will take place because, as alluded to by Gates, Apple is Apple. Apple cannot see that its best interests lie in partnering with others, and trusting in the market place to produce rich and varied technologies, based on its products. Quite simply, Apple is a selfish, go-it-alone company, that cares only for its own interests; and such an attitude cannot prevail against competitors like MS and Dell, who recognize that they can go a whole lot further, with partners.
