[Firewire is clearly superior to USB, but USB is more common.]
The specs tell FireWire transfers 400Mb/s and USB2.0 480 Mb/s.
That sounds like USB 2.0 is better when it comes to speed and on top of that is cheaper.
I guess some people have begun to figure out that they were being ripped off by Apple.
