Kind of funny because apple created USB

long ago and fire wire is simply the next improvement over USB. The pc world was slow to adapt USB and now it's slow to adapt fire wire. Basically apple is always way ahead of the PC world and always winds up paying for it. I think this is caused buy apple having the ability to make it's own hardware and OS where as in the PC world you have a lot of people making the hardware and MS is slow to improve it's OS. Apple moves forward faster because it's under extreme pressure to make a better system than the PC and the PC world is trying to make as much money off of what already exists. You've got two apposing forces here. One moving technology forward at a fast pace to survive and another trying to slow technology down to make as much profit as they can and survive. I'm not saying ether situation is better than the other, just pointing out that they exist.
