Inconsistant moderation!

The moderators seem to be very inconsistant. We, and others, have been off topic many times and not gotten deleted. There have also been many other threads that are down right offensive, insulting, AND off topic, that have not been deleted. My post and yours in particular DID address the topic (a little) and I thought we weren't being offensive, but rather cordial. The only possibility that I can see is that I was poking fun, with the other poster, of Jeff, but look at Jeff's posts and that scenario doesn't seem correct either.

So....the topic.....Dell computers. I have clicked on the link also, for the 499 case and been directed to the more expensive one. At that point, if you can't find it on the site, you call them up and ask about the 499 unit, if they say those aren't available, then I would say DONT FEEL PRESSURED to buy a different model.

Don't you think that it is rediculous for a person to buy something without knowing exactly how much it costs? Yeah, we need more stupid lawsuits in this country, that will solve everything.......except stupidity.

Now, on the other hand, if these people were told that there computer was 499 (website or phone) and then they were billed 699, that is different and wrong, AND would be credit card fraud also. But let's look at the case a little closer and I think we'll see that it's not the case. Before the purchaser authorizes any credit card payment, the price is posted by the supplier. We will have to see how this one comes out, I'll side with Dell for now (although I wouldn't buy or recommend one).
