There really are a lot of safety issues that would be simple to fix.
How many people are killed each year in rear end accidents by idiots in SUVs that think they own the road and are asleep at the wheel. A simple radar system to apply the brakes automatically would really save a lot of lives. Of course a lot less SUVs on the road would help as well.
