Clock speed
How many times do you people need to be told, clock speed isnt everything. the athlon64s dont excede 3.0GHz and yet the best of them can outdo a P4 3.8GHz. You cant say that its to do with the AMD64 instruction set because the 3.8 has EMT64, intels version of it. you should be looking at cycles*operations per cycle
