even with the convergence of other media support, like audio and video presentation (which a number of PDA do outside of the realm of traditional PDA, some of the new portable media players can still do PDA duties, like an iPod with a contact list or ability to sync e-mails to its harddrive, or this Archos with personal information manager . . .

They may present a very temping, if not growing market that eats at tradition business oriented PDAs. You can only sell so many PDAs to business before reaching a saturation point, especially if they don't breakdown or are ruled as having not boosted business. But to consumers, a portable media device can do just enough PDA and the other home user things like video or audio on the go that PDA's do poorly or not as well.
