Heat is a big problem
in any form factor. Besides the power supply and CPU the video card is becoming a cooling problem too - why I think the MiniMe is only using an ATi 9200. I installed an ATi 9800 Pro AIW about a month ago - the OEM heatsink and fan is a joke. GPU freeze became the norm (and seems fairly common with this board when kept stock) - so installed an Artic Cooling heatsink and fan so we'll see....

I've thought for some time now - why not break out the power supply, drives and video/sound away from the mobo? A wired connection from the PCI/AGP/PCIE connection to the circuit bus seems to me to be just as effecient whether or not it's on the board, or thru a cable. Unless distance from the device to the CPU is a limiting factor?
