Now you see.....

I could care less who started this country and why. I was raised
to believe it is a free country and open to all peoples. That did
NOT include having to become or except Chrisitanity as their
lifestyle.

I have no problem with leglaized prostitution and the like.
However I would be against dragging christians in against hteir
will. Seems fair to me. I have no real problem with legal drugs
for alcohol and tobacco are in effect legal and VERY distructive
drugs anyway. Still I do not see making any of this legal as
forcing Christians to NOT be Christian.

I have no problem in using the term God as long as it is simply
excepted as a generic term that anyone is free to fill in with the
name of their God when doing the pledge and reading the
inscription on the American money. Seems fair to me...this
include Christians who can use GOD as the world they choose or
that other word that I can not spell but I will try Yarweigh that is
fine buy me. So far I do not see persecution in my desires here.

Even "IF" I would grant you the Christians started this country
and our laws are based on Christian laws (and I do not in
general) for I am unaware of any pre-christian societies whre
theft, sleeping with anothers wife and killing one's neighbor
were NOT against the law in some form or another. Still even
"IF" I were to grant you these the things above do NOT seem to
be so much Anti Christian. You can pledge to God as I could
pledge to Loki when saying the pledge of Allegence to our
country. You could pray to your God as I could slaughter a goat
to mine. You could NOT go to a house of prositution while I
might choose to do so. You could avoide all drugs including
alcohol and I could smoke the occasional joint if I so choose.
You could go to your prayer meetings and I could go into the
woods and meditate under an ancient Oak if I so choose. In
public areas paid for by all our tax dollars your and mine we out
of common respect to all who might not agree with either you or
I we sould be expected to keep to ourselves about our various
beliefs unless asked directly by someone and then we should
only make a meeting in a none tax payer venue to meet with this
curious soul.

I really can NOT see a problem with any of this myself. Freedom
means many things my friendd and one of them is being free to
live as a Chrisitan, Muslim or Pagan in every facit of our lives
and respecting everyone yes even Satan Worshipers to do the
same.

Did not the original Pledge NOT have a reference to God? So "IF"
you are all caught up on the begining and what our for farthers
wanted then does not in this case it sort of backfire on you? If
we are going to reach back...then by doing so we find the
original pledge back there as well do we not?

Where is the problems here?
