'The true Christian tries to model himself after Christ in all the things he does and says.'

And we need to accept that no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes; the idea is to STRIVE to be better. Christians who have flaws are not proof that Christianity is false; they only prove that we are all human. Do those criticizing 'hypocritical' Christians think themselves completely free of flaws? Who decided that hypocrisy is worse than intolerance? Think 'mote' and 'beam'.

'"Would Jesus drive this SUV" is NOT the question, it should be "Would Jesus call someone an idiot?".'

Boy, I wish more people would realize this one. Think back to the discussion between Jesus and Simon the zealot. Simon wanted Jesus to join with the rebels, to help overthrow Roman rule. Jeses' reply was basically that whether or not the Romans were in charge was unimportant. Being rich or poor is not important; being greedy or selfless is. What computer OS one uses is way down on the list of important things. True power has nothing to do with who is in charge; if you are a servant, be the best servant you can possibly be. What matters is what we do with what we have and how we treat others. If you look at all of Jesus' teachings and sermons, they said basically the same thing. I think only Ghandi and Martin Luthor King really understood what Jesus was trying to say.
