Timing of this story is dubious at best

Whyzit that these stories of global warming and disasters etc ALWAYS seem to crop up whenever Bush is doing something uber public?

I have my (cough, cough) theories. Oh yeah and I liked the nice touch at the end

"but many reptiles expired in the Permian extinction. Later, the Permian creatures were reincarnated as Texas crude oil."

For those that don't know Permian is not only the name of an age in earths history but it is also a small town in Texas. Their main claim to fame now is highschool football but was once an oil town. Are we driving home a point here or what?
