Mac Mini Ideas
The Mini Mac is NOT inexpensive. We ordered our initial one and our cost on it was $952.00 USD! Couple that with a Lilliput 8" touch screen and you are hovering in the $1300.00 USD range. That is before any cabling, routing or installation costs not to mention software and hardware options. As far as the worry about car thieves, the upside is that this is a very compact unit and not very noticeable. However, think of the possibilities this application could bring. Construction crews could pull down schematics, permits from their or their clients PC's wirelessly, truckers could use the navigation system, their companies software, electronic tolls at weigh stations, ambulance crews could pull up medical records enroute to not have medicine reactions, the possibilities are endless. It is not expensive from that viewpoint. It is if you just want to play songs on it or navigate with it, it is an expensive toy. But, like everything else, it could be integrated in an OEM application one day to run the entire car. Just think if all you had to do to add a feature to your car or truck was to download software on it. That would be too cool in my opinion!
