Things can change
Software will port to the device that is available. If a Mini MAC in dash is popular for trucks, sounds like it could be, then the software will move to that platform. After all developers want to make money and if Windows Laptops are pain and liablity(being stolen) and the MAC MINI offers a solution you can bet developers will ditch Windows just like those ditching the laptops.
