- Apple blew away expectations
-
The market was more than optimistic, ML predicting as high as
55? per share, and Apple blew that away with 70? pre share.
There is something going on at Apple that few people
understand (I sure don't) but it is more than a little impressive.
How can little old Apple with less than 2% market share do these
things? OS X that broke the burden of backward compatibility,
moving to a 64 bit processor, iLife (which is better than I
thought it would be), the new G5 iMac, iPods of all flavors and
now a $500 Mac mini that will probably have a huge backorder
within the month. How do they do it and still make a profit?
You might be firmly in the PC world and scoff at Macs, but this is
the company to follow for a while. Even at $500 you can get a
Mac mini for the top of your tower, add a switch to bounce
between the two, and see what the fuss is about. - Posted by: Ken_z Posted on: 01/12/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
