So what exactly is the wage for someone to be on call 24/7/365? I don't think I could do it for less that 200K. The company I work for wanted to start weekend on-call for us. So we found out what others made (~$500/weekend) and told them so. Their response was "oh, yes we will pay you IF we call you and at your hourly rate." We said "no, you are paying us to be on call wether you use it or not." So far, we do not have pagers/cell phones
