True, but I would rather have the money.

I agree about the 40 hours thing. I very rarely work overtime and that is usually when we are upgrading our systems. So, once a year, I work 36 hours straight and that is it. At least I get paid for that overtime.

When I got out of school, I hade a few grand in credit card debt. Once I got that paid off, I swore I would never let them run up again. I have held to that motto. Unfortunately, my wife hasn't However, at least I am not at the point where I am desparately waiting for my next paycheck, unlike many people I know.

As for loyalty, I would love to be able to work for this company until I retire. Realistically, that is not going to be possible. I have pretty much topped out.
