I would take the time off as well
My health and family are more important that some faceless could care less corporation. The work place has done this to itself. Gone are loyalty to company and loyalty to employees. Gone are the just rewards for a job well done to the RIGHT person.

My motto and mentallity is 40 hours a week is more than enough to get the job done, and if it's not then maybe we need to re-think how we are doing business. Because I see inefficiency and correct it, I am able to get my assigned tasks done within the time frame of a normal work week. Now if you want me to work overtime... pay me hourly.

Life is to short as it is, why would I want to spend time I could be spending with my family, locked up inside of some office? And herein lies the crux of American family problems. The family isn't spending any time together. Dad and Mom are to busy working and by the end of thier 10-12 hour day they are too tired to deal with Jr..

Everything in America is rush, rush, rush. Quality is going down the crapper, our jobs are going overseas and those that do stay here, well your pay isn't going up but the responsibility and number of hours you are to commit are.

I watch daily in my commute to the office, people living in thier cars because they have no time to use thier home. Things like eating full meals, catching up on phone calls, putting on make-up, shaving. All things that can and should be done at home. Yet because of this moronic mentallity that we must drive ourselves into the ground, regardless the cost to our health and family, people have lost touch with what is really important.

Yes you need money to pay for things like food and clothes, but what good are these things and others if you have no time to enjoy them? How many of you currently have a debt that exceeds $30,000.00 right now? Hmmmm? Why? Do you get to fully enjoy the fruits of your labors? Only if you are filty rich and can delegate your job to others. The rest of us, live to work.

Not me, I work to live and enjoy what I have. And to answer my own question, in 6 months I will no longer be in debt. And I will never allow it to happend again. It can be done and you can have a good life without incurring a huge debt over your head.

Guess most Americans will continue to pursue the fantasy dream. I will have attained mine in 6 months. I will be a truly free man. Beholden to no single company or any creditor. That is true freedom.
