Yeah, but what do they sound like?
I haven't actualy listened to any iPod or similar machine. I'd like to, but I'd want to hear my music as opposed to the showroom stuff. I don't know that they'd let me upload my own tunes... perhaps they would.

I realize that the sound quality is partly limited to what you put in it- crap in, crap out- but if you put the finest stuff in there, what do you get out?

If you take portable cd players for example, they all use 'differently-abled' amplifiers; some are decent, but most are garbage. I'm left wondering what kind of pipes the iPod uses. I can't imagine much good stuff coming out of those dinky little ear-buds... I've used some higher-end buds and they aren't that hot, not compared to full headphones anyway.

So yeah, like, how do they sound?
