No kidding
One needs to learn to pick one's nose before one learns to fly an airplane. The concept of walk before you run never hit the education system. It's a typical scenario where all sorts of money and "ideas" are thrown at it, and of course it never sticks. The teaching profession needs to be held to a much higher standard, with teachers being required to possess much more training and skill than they do now..such as being able to read themselves..;-)
