The problem with rumors
---I think the leaks stir up more business, because it creates the shock and wow effect that Apple likes anyways---

I agree in general, but there is a downside. Often Apple fanboys get overzealous in the rumors they predict, and even if Apple announces some nice products, they come off as a letdown, compared to the wild claims of the rumors. So yes, the hype machine is running wild, which is good news for Apple as it will mean plenty of coverage, but could mean bad news if what they announce doesn't measure up to the rumors.
