Cheaper than a new PowerBook...
Hmmm...the new headless iMac sounds like it has portability going for it. I have an application for a portable CPU where there are some existing keyboard, mouse, and monitor options, so I don't actually need the completely self-contained operability of, say, a PowerBook or an iBook. Looks like this is the perfect doorway into the Mac world...YOW!!

IMO, Apple has done some really stupid things, and some really brilliant things. This new headless iMac sounds like it's in the latter category.
