Too little, too late, too drm bad.
Too late, Tivo. I left you last year because you couldn't innovate fast enough. Bought a PVR-250 and SageTV. Now I record anything I want to my HD, burn it to SVCD or DVD, and watch it anywhere I want.

You wouldn't innovate because you don't value your customers enough. You're too enamored (or afraid) of the Studios & Networks. You could have produced an inexpensive Tivo with a CD-RW years ago, so that I could save my favorite TV programs in SVCD format to really cheap CDRs. You could have produced a unit with DVD-R years ago. You could produce an HDTV unit today.

But no. You're spending all your time & programming resources making DRM "work". Well here's some news for you: DRM doesn't do sh*t for me, the consumer. And *I'm* the one who buys your unit (or would have).

So keep sucking up to the big boys, Tivo. Make sure your units don't do what the consumer wants. Make sure they're intrusive and restrictive. Anything to make Hollywood happy. Then, with you're sales too low to survive, they'll be glad to buy you -- cheap.

Hope you like being owned by those b*st*rds.
