Sirius is much better, siriusly.
Sorry, had to do the pun, but I've compared XM and Sirius by listening to friends' systems and IMHO Sirius has much better reception in more remote areas than XM. In the Midwest (namely Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming) where I am most of the time, XM will get kinda fuzzy when I'm on the highway in the middle of nowhere between towns in western Nebraska and South Dakota and anywhere in Wyoming.
